Sofular Hydroelectric Power Plant Has Reached Substantial Completion
State Hydraulic Works Elazığ Ninth Regional Directorate has announced that the Sofular Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex constructed in the district of Kuluncak has reached substantial completion.
State Hydraulic Works Elazığ Ninth Regional Directorate has announced that the Sofular Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex, which is constructed on Balıklı Tohma Stream and will meet the electricity needs of 15.000 homes, has been commissioned.
The full statement by the State Hydraulic Works Regional Directorate is as follows:
'Constructed by Şekerpınar Electricity Production Ltd. Company on Balıklı Tohma Stream in the province of Malatya, district of Kuluncak as per the Law no. 6446 on Electricity Market, the Sofular Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex has been deemed to have reached substantial completion on 13.01.2020 by a commission formed by the State Hydraulic Works Ninth Regional Directorate. Sofular Regulator and Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex, a plant with an installed power of 2,991 MW, will produce 9,5 GWh/year of energy. This energy to be produced will meet the electricity needs of 15.000 homes every year. With our best wishes.'
