Combed Cotton, is a cotton yarn production method and type. It is also a cotton fabric type produced from these yarns. Combed cotton yarns are produced from carded long and thin quality cotton fibre of NE 12 and thinner yarn numbers. The Turkish word for combed cotton, 'penye' derives from the French verb for combing.
