Twist
Twist can be defined as yarn curling around its own axis. Twist also refers to the number of helices of a certain length on yarn. The real twist to yarn is given by the spinning machine. Before becoming twisted, yarn is thin-wale. First, the opening process takes place in the open-end spinning machine and then the twisting follows.
